PROFICIENCY EXAM

The proficiency exam allows you to demonstrate your command of a foreign language and, at UNTELS, is a requirement to obtain the Bachelor's Degree according to the requested level.

WHAT IS IT AND WHAT IS IT FOR?

The proficiency exam is a test that allows the student to demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language. At the Universidad Nacional Tecnológica de Lima Sur, it is used to obtain the Bachelor's Degree according to the level requested by the Degrees and Titles Unit.

This exam is ideal for you if:

  • You already master the language and need a certificate that proves your level.
  • You studied at another institution and have a record or certificate.
  • You need to complete an administrative process.
  • You require proof of proficiency for a job position.
  • You want to validate your level without taking all the courses.

The exam assesses 4 skills:

  • Reading comprehension.
  • Listening comprehension.
  • Writing.
  • Speaking.

NOTE:

Upon passing the exam, you will receive an official certificate from the UNTELS Language Center. This certificate has national validity.

REQUIREMENTS

To take the Proficiency Exam, you need:

Fill out FUTD

The request must be addressed to the Language Center.

Make the exam payment

General: Tribute 8241 - S/ 150.00. UNTELS Postgraduate: Tribute 8242 - S/ 300.00.

ID card or Foreigner ID

Valid simple copy.

Certificate of the requested level

Attach a simple copy of certificates for the requested level issued by another institution.

For UNTELS Postgraduate

Document that proves you are an UNTELS postgraduate student.

Payment receipts

Voucher for the payment made.

NOTE:

The exam is rigorous and assesses all competencies of the requested language. Results are delivered within 7–10 business days.

HOW TO COMPLETE THE PROCEDURE?

Follow these steps to take your Proficiency Exam:

Make the payment

Choose your modality and pay:

  1. General: Code 8241 - S/ 150.00.
  2. UNTELS Postgraduate: Code 8242 - S/ 300.00.

You can pay at the UNTELS Cashier, Banco de la Nación, or Pagalo.pe.

Submit your request

Submit the following documents at the on-site or virtual Desk:

  1. Payment receipt.
  2. Correctly filled FUTD.

Take your exam

The exam will be held on-site. The schedule will be sent to the email indicated in the FUTD. Take your time and answer calmly. The total duration is approximately 1 hour.

Receive your results

Within 7–10 business days, the results will be published on the official Facebook page of the Language Center. The result will indicate whether you passed the exam and obtained the certificate.
